The Bermuda Triangle vs. SPX Market Structure

This relates to 10:32 SPY / SPX July 10, 2026

More than 50 ships.

More than 20 aircraft.

Thousands of theories.

And yet.

Commercial jets fly through the Bermuda Triangle every day. Cargo ships cross it every day. Nothing happens.

So what changed?

Did the Triangle disappear?

Or did our understanding finally catch up?

The market has its own Bermuda Triangle

Every morning I watch traders do the exact thing people did with those missing ships.

Price drops. “Market makers pushed it.”

Price rips. “The Fed did something.”

Price reverses. “Dark pools.”

Next candle. “Algos.”

Next candle. “Stop hunt.”

Everyone has a story.

Almost no one has structure.

Humans hate not knowing

When sailors could not explain a disappearance, they invented sea monsters.

When traders cannot explain a candle, they invent manipulation.

The brain refuses to say three words: I don’t know.

So it swaps the uncertainty for a story. The story feels better. The story is also wrong.

Events are not evidence

Columbus reported strange lights. Flight 19 lost its bearings. The USS Cyclops vanished.

Those are events.

An event is not proof of a supernatural force.

A 40-point SPX candle is the same thing. It is an event. It is not proof that market makers “decided” to move price.

The first question is never why.

The first question is always: what structure existed before it moved?

Retail asks why. Professionals ask where.

People remember the rocket candle. I study the candles before it.

People remember the breakout. I study the Higher Low that set it up.

People remember the news. I study the liquidity.

People remember the destination. I study the path.

When SPX explodes, retail asks, “Why did that happen?”

I ask a different set of questions:

  • Was price above the Flip?
  • Did market structure shift?
  • Did buyers reclaim control?
  • Did Flow align?
  • Did volume expand into the move?
  • Was there acceptance above resistance?

Those questions have measurable answers. “Why” does not.

Conspiracy vs. probability

Every conspiracy runs the same way. Something happened, therefore something secret must exist.

Trading runs the other direction. Something happened, so now read the tape.

Structure. Liquidity. Volume. Order flow. Velocity.

Then take the highest-probability read.

Not the most exciting one. The highest-probability one.

The real Bermuda Triangle

Most traders do not disappear between Florida, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico.

They disappear inside Fear. Hope. Revenge. FOMO. Guessing.

That is the triangle that swallows accounts.

Thousands sail in. Very few come back out.

I do not predict. I read.

People think I predict SPX. I don’t.

Pilots do not predict turbulence. They read the instruments.

Doctors do not predict disease. They read the scans.

Captains do not predict storms. They read the weather.

I read market structure.

Without structure, every candle looks random. With structure, every candle tells you where price is most likely to go next. Not because I know the future. Because I understand the path.

The lesson

The Bermuda Triangle got famous because people filled a gap in knowledge with a story.

The market feels mysterious for the same reason.

The less you understand structure, the more manipulation you see.

The more you understand structure, the less mysterious the market becomes.

The goal is not to know everything. The goal is to remove enough mystery that your decisions turn logical instead of emotional.

That is why I teach one rule above all others.

No Structure. No Trade.

When one of us falls, we lift them. When one of us learns, we all grow. When one of us wins, we all fly.

Trade with Purpose. Fly with Discipline. ✈️🔥
